Ilana Cohn (she/her)
Ilana is a warm and dedicated clinical psychologist who works collaboratively with her clients to tailor therapy to each person’s needs. In addition to managing symptoms and feelings of distress, she believes therapy can benefit people by providing a non-judgemental space to understand the deeper causes underlying their difficulties. Ilana’s approach is integrative, working within a psychodynamic framework while drawing upon Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches.
Ilana has worked with individuals and delivered group programs across hospital, community, and private settings. She has experience with a range of issues such as anxiety and depression, stress, relationship issues, adjustment difficulties, grief and loss, substance use, emotion regulation difficulties, and complex trauma. She has a special interest in intergenerational trauma and has published research in this area.
Ilana holds a Master of Clinical Psychology from the University of Technology Sydney. She also has degrees in Arts, Law, and Education from the University of New South Wales. Ilana is a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA) and the International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (IARPP).
Ilana works at the Rozelle Clinic on Mondays through to Thursdays.
