School Readiness assessments are ideal for parents of pre-schoolers who are unsure whether to send their child to school or hold them back in preschool for another year.
Assessments involve an age-appropriate cognitive assessment (IQ test) and detailed questionnaires for parents and current educators regarding the child’s adaptive behaviours. These provide a measure of communication, self-help, gross and fine motor skills.
School Readiness assessments run over 3-4 weeks and involve an initial 50 minute parent/carer interview, an in-person session with the child (usually up to 90 minutes), online questionnaires, and a 50 minute feedback session during which a comprehensive report is explained and given to the parent or carer.
